Jack Saint@lackingsaint.bsky.social · 4d agoit seems clear Aaron Bastani/Novara Media jumped on the Jason Arday bandwagon as a cynical ploy to pull in a conservative audience using an "acceptable target", and attempts to justify it after his suicide make the whole org completely untrustworthy.
There's an obvious issue here with asking people to point their dns at an IP they do not control in any way
bryan newbold@bnewbold.net · 4d agohosted atproto handles should work as a customizable personal homepage by default (eg, PDS acts like blento). huge "show don't tell" for atmosphere/web integration. (I think folks are aware of the juice and working towards this, but I wish it had shipped ages ago)

They are infrastructure proven to make cities safer for ALL ROAD USERS. Whatever way cyclists have wronged you is irrelevant to the discussion!
Denying under 16s the chance to develop critical thinking, build community, explore how they fit in with the culture choices they make all seems sad, when we could focus on regulating platforms, prosecuting content creators, fining tech vendors. Little incentive to improve if we make it adult only

The way people talk about having a favourite soda is so weird to me. Maybe it's because I grew up having tried cola like once, but I find sweet fizzy drinks mid-to-repulsive, from monster to mug, from irn bru to dr pepper And also I can not tell apart cola, pepsi, or either of their 0cal versions
IMHO bioshock is neither a good shooter, nor a good immersive sim, and that the art style is the only thing going for it.

hailey@hailey.at · 2w agothat you shouldn’t be working half as many hours because you’re letting the robot do all the coding. you should just fill that time with doing more things that are useful and contributing to the mission. i suppose though if your company is Meta you might not want to contribute to the mission lol
Single Page Applications are a cancer and must be eliminated, and anyone trying to develop a new one should be put down like a rabid animal. All web pages should be possible to use without Javascript. Want reactivity? Go advocate for HTMX to be standardised and implemented in browsers natively.
Julia@foxgrrl.bsky.social · 3w agoYou can run the entire Windows 7 (32bit) Operating System in less memory than what the single web page "bsky.app" uses when running in a single Chrome browser tab. If you rendered BlueSky threads into PDF documents, those PDF documents would require less memory to display than what "bsky.app" uses.
