The blinking effect when BB wakes up upon entering a BT zone implies that Sam is looking at himself through BBs eyes, and that BB can see Sam in 3rd person. BBs letting you see in 3rd person *would* explain the odradek being in the worst possible position to look up at in a world with timefall
