I end undergrad talks with the annoying 'comics advice' of: you have to sleep, you have to eat, you have to move your body in whatever way works for you, you have to engage with the world outside of your desk and outside of comics entirely. sleep is the foundation!! you can't compromise on that!!

you may have noticed that animation has never been more in-demand & in the zeitgeist and yet, seemingly, never have media conglomerates been less willing to produce it. you may also notice these guys get multimillion dollar severance packages after they gut a studio. there is probably no connection

Skydance now owns Nick, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, and MTV, effectively ending US TV animation as we know it. Countless jobs will be lost, and fewer new shows will be created. An apocalyptic scenario for cartoons, yet it's maybe the 5th-worst thing about the Paramount-WB merger!

i was recently talking to a close friend who spent some of her summer at a lesbian summer camp and got to meet other women of all ages and backgrounds and hear from them and their stories, and wow i felt the ache inside for real for that one

being in animation, its not from AI. the streaming bubble bursting cuz everyone hopped on the grain cuz it undermined unions, less regulations and more mergers are what lead to the loss. AI is just what people think but it started way before that

Hearing some pretty bad news about what's going down at the Tom of Finland house here in LA, and frankly it's pretty devastating. I had lovely visits every time I went, and figure drawing there with other gay and queer people was a lot of fun.

i play fire emblem like i play animal crossing: curating my posse of the hottest guys and the coolest/funniest girls i can surround my little OC with while having no regard for stats, synergies or anything else

got Fire Emblem so if any hot swordsmen who’ve sworn to die by the blade until they met me and suddenly remember their zeal for life wanna confess to me, now’s the time

at the risk of sharing opinions online, i'm glad Station Eleven made the cut as a disarming and staggering bit of television but True Detective and Twin Peaks: The Return in the 30s and 40s is brutal. people say the Office is the millennial comedy but i think Sunny is the other side of that coin
