Glad to see at least 2/5 of the proposals I made in the canny from a few weeks ago are being implemented soon: world ratings and more/better preview images. Hopefully the rest will follow in time, but these are already a huge step forward for improving world discovery.

Added new lighting controls to Prismic's Avatar Search to help with avatar testing. "Directional" controls the dynamic sunlight direction, color, and intensity. "Point" does the same for a point light but with added controls for range and shadows. Despawning them resets.

It took 10 months to go from 100 million to 200 million visits, but only 8 months to go from 200 million to 300 million visits. Continuing that trend, it should mean ∞ visits by August 2027 right? 🤔 Jokes aside, I just enjoy recording the milestones 😁 1.6 million visits too!

Today marks the 3 year anniversary of Prismic's Avatar Search on #VRChat! A lot happened for @vrchat.com over the past year that's helped in developing out the world further (binary data loading, persistence, creator economy, avatar marketplace), and hoping 2026 continues the trend!

Back in early February 2025, Prismic's Avatar Search passed 100 million visits. Today, just over 10 months later, it's passed 200 million. Averaging 10 million visits a month is insane. I'm glad it's become such a helpful and integral part of the VRChat experience for so many!

Prismic's Avatar Search now has Style and Content filters! Select up to two styles to only show results that match. Deselect any content warnings to hide results that have those flags on them. Now with unique icons for each individual filter! #vrchat

Prismic's Avatar Search has received a fairly substantial update today! The database is smaller and no longer requires a processing step before searching, you can now search by tags, the pedestals have been reorganized and now display tags/styles/warnings/updated date, and more!

1 year 9 months 29 days after release, Prismic's Avatar Search is now the #1 most visited community world in all of #VRChat, surpassed only by VRChat Home. That's pretty cool 🙂

Didn't see any existing feature requests for these, so I opened a couple. The ability for Udon to show what players are on your friends list, and to see what group role a user has in group instances. If you'd like to lend your support, Canny links in the replies. #VRChat

With VRChat's world persistence update finally released, Prismic's Avatar Search now features a favorites system! Favorited avatars can be loaded even before the database is finished processing, which should allow for quicker and more convenient utilization of the world and database.

i cannot express to you strongly enough how powerful of an update this is in live #vrchat, right now, you can now build worlds that save data for each player, and that data persists if they leave and come back. moreover, creators (FINALLY) have access to a reliable pool of player objects.

At what price do you sell out on your own wants, creative intentions, and values? At what point is the sum large enough that it becomes foolish enough not to, especially when the thing you'd be compromising on is an otherwise fairly common/expected practice? (1/7)

Second (meta)verse, same as the first! With much of VRChat's community shifting over this way I figured I ought migrate as well. But just as before I tend to be fairly sparse on social media usage, so don't expect to see too much from me.
