Our world has much to worry about with a global leadership today defined by male toxicity combined with mediocre intelligence . Sadly for me there isn’t a combined intelligence in today’s leadership sufficient to understand the need for new narratives, let alone think of them.

Curious why U.S. tennis players in the Australian open are allowed to play under their flag despite taking over one country and threatening another? Yet Russians are denied playing under their flag, Double standards have become so acceptable and normalised that we have even stopped questioning it.

The reopening of US and Western embassies in Afghanistan can empower Afghans. This isn’t about wanting foreign intervention again. Absolutely not. Rather it is about helping Afghans feel connected to the broader world. Hope can be a powerful catalyst for change. open.substack.com/pub/kathygan...

Returning to Afghanistan presents countless opportunities to support Afghan women, but not if these countries, as it was the case with India at the press conference in Delhi, deprioritize women’s rights. open.substack.com/pub/kathygan...

India what were you thinking allowing women journalists to be excluded from a press conference with Afghanistan's Foreign Minister?

Neither silence nor isolation has done anything to aid Afghan women.
