"I'd already been stewing on a concept for unhinged love letters (or notes), and I found the haibun form fit so well, the words flowed right out of me. I was aiming for cheeky, spiteful, indulgent, provocative. It was glorious." www.patreon.com/SpecColorway... *

Our second poem "love note from my guardian angel" by Caroline Hung is shocking and tender. When we designed broadside, had ideas for adding accents but it naturally came together minimalist, its words' artistry plenty 'nough. www.patreon.com/SpecColorway... #WriterShareWednesday #WeeknightWriters

I love alt-format and form play of all kinds, so instant gimme and chatting with Lysz was clear it's not just how Caroline engaged and experimented with form but the deftness of doing so, of holding angel's casual tone through things had us: 🫨/whaaat. Don't have characters to get into language!

We're here & still queer with our 2nd poem, "love note from my guardian angel" by 💐 @carolinehung.bsky.social 💐, a devotional haibun/blackout that's a real . . . stunner. Hope you brought your appetite: www.patreon.com/SpecColorway... (1/2)

From professional mourners to the unique pain of being the longterm caretaker for a dying loved one, I wrote about the inspirations behind my Hugo-, Nebula, and Rhysling-nominated poem "The Mourning Robot" (in @uncannymagazine.bsky.social). Hope you'll check it out.

Our 1st author Q&A is live—little taste: ". . . I centered this poem on the Moko Jumbie not simply for the sake of invoking a Carnival scene, but to enliven the Moko Jumbie’s origins within resistance and revolutionary witness." ~Dkéama Alexis www.patreon.com/SpecColorway...

"So much of writing is fun. It's first letting your interests and your imagination take you anywhere at all. Once you're able to do that, you'll have more ideas than you can use. Then the real work of fashioning them into a story begins. Stay with it. Persist." Octavia E. Butler (Bloodchild p. 142)
