He/Him/They/Them Author! Fantasy and Comic Writer. LGBTQ+, disabled, neurospicy, and proud. Vive le resistance.

Today I started packing to move overseas, and I put over 600 books into 13 boxes (some were very big boxes) to stay here and not come with me. It was emotionally taxing and made me realize...this is real. I'm really moving.

For someone who only saw an ocean once, I sure wrote two books about it. Decided to tag along on my bestie's cruise vacation to do some REAL research. Had a blast in Nassau and Half Moon Cay. Swam in ocean! Tasted it. It was gross.

A young man with red brown hair all wild, curly, and wind swept. He has a beard and large rounded yellow glasses on. Behind him is a bright blue sky, blue water, and the Atlantis resort on Nassau, Bahamas. Also visible is part of a cruise ship lounge deck lined with chairs.

End of Day Update: Rewrote my way through chapters 1, 2, and part of 3. I have 17.5 chapters left to go! Did things improve? I think so. Found some good moments for character development. It felt SO GOOD to write as much as I did today, for as long as I did today.

ACTUAL MAGIC Update: I am done with my first draft, and today I am starting to work on my second. I do a complete rewrite on the 2nd to keep my flow while I make changes. Let's see how far I can get with two meetings scheduled! #amwriting

JordanCon was amazing. I seriously love that show and the people I meet there. I love how much a good show energizes me, and motivates me. I finished writing my latest novel on the plane ride home! 🛩

Oh my gosh, it is so hard to put words down on paper sometimes. REALLY struggling with this last little bit of a novel, some panel shot lists for a comic, and finishing books I need to read before I go to JordanCon. And kudos to yesterday's participants, ya'll are awesome.

I will be at JordanCon in Atlanta this next weekend (25th-27th) and I will have copies of all my books. I will not make it that far south again until October, MAYBE. Stop in to get my books while you can!

Been working on a lot of writing, but I'm making the most progress in ACTUAL MAGIC - which has been a lot of fun. I'm past the halfway point, in to the thick of it. It has been SO HARD to write while the world burns down around me, not going to lie. I'm proud of me, today. 💕

An image collage. Two hands clasped in a rainbow. A castle in the mountains. One short pair of sneakers on tip toe standing toe to toe with a pair flat-footed, implying a kiss. A dark academia picture of someone studying with tea, and a book about moths. A blond, muscled young man in black and white. A soft-featured young man with dark shaggy hair. A library packed with old books. Blue sparkles and hands holding golden light. Text in the center says: ACTUAL MAGIC. Rivals to lovers. Opposites attract. Magical school. LGBTQ+. It quotes the book in an excerpt: "You know what the worst thing ever is? When you're having a crappy day and the weather is perfect. I'm talking blue sky, sun shining, just enough of a breeze to keep the temperature right where you want it - only everything else is awful. Like now."

Happy Trans Day of Visibility. I'm trans, and gender nonconforming. The past few months have been terrifying, but I am still here and still wearing hairbows. I can't stop being myself and reveling in my own joy. I just can't.

Trans Awareness Week: You know, I think I'm just going to keep posting about the daily reality of my life. Yesterday, I wanted to register for a conference I have been looking forward to. But first, I checked the state's anti trans laws. Glad I did, because Wyoming has a bathroom bounty. 🧵

Trans Awareness Week: Today I learned I can no longer attend a conference that I entered the contest for, because their state won't let me use the bathroom. Between that and the couple that talked loudly about how disgusting my existence is while I was at my favorite café today, I think I'm done.

HAPPY TRANS AWARENESS WEEK. My first 🧵 for this week is this: the signs were there before the word was. I was diagnosed with male presenting ADHD. I always wanted to play male characters when we did imagination games. I auditioned for male roles in my 5th grade play (and got them). 🧵

I currently have three openings for the next month for sensitivity edits. I don't often have openings! If you want a sensitivity edit, hit me up! Credentials: LGBTQ+ and chronic invisible illness/mobility aid sensitivity editor, 7 years of experience, NYT bestsellers to indies.

Ranted at my therapist today about how self care felt dumb in this day and age. Anyway, I'm trying a fancy spa day next week to see how it goes. Apparently I have been stressed. My therapist is so mean, having a point and being right and all that crap. Dang it.
