I just finished my first short story in years, a high-concept sci-fi love story titled EARTH DAY ZERO. It’s roughly 8000 words long. I don’t know if it’s any good. But I do know that I loved writing something just for myself. I should do it more often.

I’m really excited. I’ve been working on all these TV pitches for like 4 mos. But I’ve been sitting on a big idea for a movie I’ve really wanted to write. I’m finally caught up with all my work (for a couple weeks anyway) and can open a new screenplay file. Uncharted waters of the mind, here we go!

So why do I have Wolowitz from the Big Bang Theory as my background on phone? Great question. It started because my two boys (14 and 10) would change my b.g. to their photo whenever they got their hands on my device. To stop this, I first put a photo of their mom. Didn’t work. Then my dog… 1/2
