this is the origin of what's commonly mocked as "Millennial Optimism"
The funny thing is that the Obama era briefly recaptured that feeling of optimism in the 90s pre-2000. The Bush era was just a minor speedbump, things are now gonna get better.

Everyone who's been paying attention knows that the reckless full-send on AI has always been with the goal of siphoning billions of our tax dollars into AI companies artificially through government bailout. That has always been the goal. That has always been the plan. That has always been the scam.
I've been saying this for almost 20 years. Once the government decides the solution to economic instability is to bail out a corporation every company is going to race to become too big to fail. Once 1 corporation gets a bail out and others don't you've basically created a state-sanctioned monopoly
government bailouts are so routine that tech companies are planning them inside their annual reviews & quarterly reports. seems like a great indication of how well and uncorrupted our national government is, for the record. really good for the day-to-day average US citizen.

It's the third anniversary of the day I was laid off from Bungie. I still haven't found full time work. 36 months, each one scraped by on the skin of my teeth, either by raw desperation or the charity of friends, family, acquaintances, colleagues, and strangers. Please hire me?

Well friends, I too have officially been laid off from Bungie after a five year tenure. I'm immensely grateful to the wonderful people I've had the great pleasure of working alongside for the last half decade. I'm available immediately for new opportunities in Visual Design, UI/UX, audio, & music.
desperately trying to artificially drive down the cost of RAM for his data centers by trying to convince you you don't need to own anything what a fucking psycho
BREAKING: OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says having RAM in personal computers is an inefficient use of the world’s limited DRAM supply, arguing it would be better allocated to data centers, per Tom’s Hardware
Altman's working overtime to be the worst thing to ever come out of Missouri
If you have a Steamdeck, do yourself a favor and set up EmuDeck so you can play PS, Xbox, GameCube, Wii, etc. games in your library. Also do yourself a favor and avoid my mistake: go larger than a 128gb microSD, you're gonna want more room than that for games.
Yes on 6, the rest are tricks. Vote for Democrats. #Missouri
Missouri voters will decide whether to make it harder for lawmakers to change laws passed through citizen-led ballot initiatives. Amendment 6 would require an 80% vote in the House and Senate, plus voter approval. www.stlpr.org/government-p...
hello I hope you all have been awakened to the real reason why AI companies have been courting US government officials so hard and enshitifying everything: AI is unsustainable, and to get a 2008-style bailout of OUR TAX DOLLARS, they need to convince the government they're critical infrastructure

JD Vance on ranked choice voting: "I don't understand it. It seems to me that you have an election, the person who wins the most votes should win...The fact it's so confusing to a person who pays pretty close attention to politics I think suggests we should do our elections in, like, the normal way"

so much of AI's "success" hinges on beating into people that close enough and correct are synonymous phrases (they are not)
your first step in destroying fascism is talking to your neighbour. Earnestly and curiously. Bake cookies, write a nice note, or just wish them well in the hallway. You will not win by voting and protesting alone. To have communism, you must first have community.
