It is interesting though, seeing the body of movies that where greenlit, at least initially, under the assumption that November '24 marked a permanent, rightward sea change in the public.

I could also see a nervy Starship Troopers/Zone of Interest version of the Sex Purge movie where you take a knife to purity and trad culture by deliberately doing a meet cute romcom in a dystopia, but that doesn't appear to be what One Night Only is doing either.

That Sex Purge movie was only going to work as a 1988 thing written by Julie Brown where due to a cosmic ray men and women can't be in the same space without setting off a deadly chain reaction save for one night a year. And it's so bouncy and full of DEVO songs there's no space to think too hard.
