I've been reading Alfred Bester's "The Demolished Man" and it's absolutely great: Bester has this really Jack Kirby energy where it feels like he's throwing these very visual and create set-pieces at you as fast as you can read them. And the depiction of telepathy is really neat...

I absolutely love this. The face is very close to what I would have wanted to do with the character art in "Asepsis" if I'd have more time: just abstracting White and Blue further into their colors. Maybe next time.

It's social media. Ellis isn't wrong, of course. Rowling clearly let all manner of criticism get deep under her skin. But that's downstream of Rowling *exposing* herself to so much of it without a filter, and responding to it without any mediation. Because she's addicted to Twitter.

Anyway, I've been reading John le Carre lately, and his reputation as the serious, down-to-earth spy novelist left me completely unprepared for the fact that he's often really funny, and his supporting characters are really colorful?

I have been struggling to find something new to say about "Asepsis" since I released it a month ago. I will say, all the positive reviews have been incredible to see. This is my second visual novel, and I made comics before that, but this is the first time I feel like I'm really reaching people.

Pill in the Pudding - Initially assumed the humor wouldn't be for me, but was totally wrong. Art is great, characters are fun, and I love the brainspace ui for when the mc's headmates bicker. This has been one of my absolute favorites from the toxic Yuri jam 2. Delicate pacing, sense of mood, terrific skill with exposition. Also it's about spy stuff and reprogrammable minds and regrets and rebuilding. Highest recommendations.
