I can no longer fully take in Tom Cruise’s face. My eyes move around it, trying to gain purchase, but it’s like a child’s composite of past features. I back away. ‘That’s Tom Cruise’, I tell myself, uncertainly.

One of the sad things about the death of writing is that we are going to be taking life advice primarily from visually attractive people now who don’t know shit. ideally you want the world filtered through awkward homunculi filled with rage who know the plural of homunculus

After my parents were visiting set for the first time, I asked my dad what he thought. He said “I didnt realize, it’s like you’re building a house, and once an hour good looking people run in and put on a play for five minutes. Then they leave and you go back to construction.”
