I feel like Albertans have had a front row seat to this shift in the activist base of Conservative parties in Canada. The shift from a decades long big-tent PC Party to the much narrower political focus of the UCP membership today gave us whiplash.

Another example of security, trade and resources being folded into one transactional relationship
