City crews have found a leak on a major water feeder main at Cushing Bridge on 17th Ave SE. The leak is isolated and water service is not disrupted. I'm on site with an update on the urgent repairs and what to expect in the area.

The article is misleading at best. That's not at all what I said. I said the rules for public hearings prohibit discriminatory arguments based on income. For example, it's not acceptable to argue against a development because "only poor people will live there."

Our Council takes public safety, especially on transit, seriously. As part of Coun Pantazopolous' $9M safety surge budget amendment, we've added 34 Transit Peace Officers, expanded outreach and prevention and surveyed 3,200+ riders. Early signs are positive, but we have more work ahead.

If someone is being paid to influence a major City decision, Calgarians deserve to know. Calgary has grown up as a city, and it's time our transparency rules caught up. That's why, with Councillors Atkinson, Clark, and Schmidt, we are bringing forward a motion to pursue a lobbyist registry.
