Today's the day! So much hard work from both myself and my team has led up today. Please make the time to get out & vote, make your voice heard. I am ready to be the next Edmonton City Councillor for Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi, we've knocked on almost 25,000 doors and placed...

Edmonton City Council candidate for Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi | Advocate for affordable housing, small businesses, and safer communities | Together, we’ll build the future Edmonton deserves. #Funke4YEG
I met a recent graduate who told us she was considering leaving Edmonton because she couldn’t find stable work in her field. Like her, too many young people feel uncertain about their future here. Edmontonians are builders, innovators, and hard-working people.
Tomorrow is Election Day and I'm so grateful to see at how far we've come. What officially began in January has ended up being a journey of strength, tenacity, and sacrifice, and every bit of it has been worth it.
Everyday on the doors, I hear about affordability. A couple in Heritage Valley waited over a year for an affordable unit near their family but had to move 40 minutes away. Here’s my plan to help keep costs down for Edmontonians.
Election day is in 4 days and Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi is in full autumn and Halloween mode! It's so picturesque to doorknock in neighbourhoods where the leaves are falling and the neighbours are decorating.
How to pronounce Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi. I get asked on the doors all the time how the ward name is pronounced and now I'm even getting comments on social media asking me the same thing, so here is a how to! (E-pee-ko-ka-nee piu-tsi-ya) #YEGVotes2025 #wardipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi #edmonton #yegcc
This morning, I joined dozens of Edmontonians who braved the cold to walk along Ellerslie Road in support of teachers! As a mother of 2 school-aged children who love their teachers, and an educator myself, I know the vital role teachers play in our community and I can’t thank them enough.
Thank you to MLA David Shepherd and everyone who came out doorknocking with me this past week! The enthusiasm is at an all time high now that we are only 6 days from the election. Join us for the final push this week www.funkeolokude.ca/volunteer
Our hands were cold but our hearts were so so warm! Thank you to every single one of the volunteers that showed UP for our campaign this chilly afternoon.
We’re in the final 2 weeks! Now’s the perfect time to get involved, if you're up for doorknocking, flyer drops, or delivering lawn signs, please join us. Every hour helps us reach more voters before Election Day. Sign up here 👉 funkeolokude.ca/volunteer

I met a recent graduate who told us she was considering leaving Edmonton because she couldn’t find stable work in her field. Like her, too many young people feel uncertain about their future in Edmonton. We can grow our city by investing in us and giving the next generation a fair shot to succeed.
Proud to join THOUSANDS of Edmontonians who showed up for teachers today at the Alberta Legislature. Every day I hear from residents of Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi who support the educators who will be striking as of tomorrow. Many of them are teachers themselves, or they have a family member…

Community League Days are the heart of Edmonton, and Heritage Point is no different! Last weekend, I was reminded why local leadership matters: safe streets for families, affordable housing options, reliable transit that connects us, and thriving local businesses that keep our neighbourhoods vibrant
This October, we celebrate two milestones close to my heart, Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day and Nigerian Heritage Month here in Alberta. As the former President of the Nigerian Canadian Association of Edmonton and Founder of the Nigerian Leadership Circle, I have seen firsthand the strength…

Honoured to join Multicultural Health Brokers Coop for Truth and Reconciliation Day. Lorne Green and Sophie Yohani shared stories that gave us the space to reflect on the 94 Calls to Action, identifying what we can each do to move reconciliation forward in our lives and in our city.

25 days until Election Day! This campaign has always been powered by people, not big corporations. We’ve come so far, but to get over the finish line, we urgently need to raise more donations to purchase more flyers and signs. Can I count on you to donate today? 🔗https://www.funkeolokude.ca/donate
We had an awesome time on the doors in Bearspaw yesterday evening! Thank you so much @dshepyeg.bsky.social for joining us. I am so grateful for your support! We heard loud and clear that folks feel they aren’t being represented and their concerns aren’t being addressed. They want change. #yegcc
