The Sirens in the Odyssey aren’t about sexual desire or what Nolan decided to have them be about (desire for what we’ve lost), they are about knowledge. That is what they have. The unbearable need for knowledge is what sends sailors plunging to their death. This is a promethean issue.

Local School leadership is trained and selected into the role for a disposition of “we have no money; we must make cuts.” They do know how to operate in a funded environment and I feel many would prefer not to.
