Pillars of Eternity, both titles, now have controller support on pc as test branches. Deadfire also apparently got improvements on its turn-based mode the first game received. Absolutely love the support earlier games get, I believe Outer Worlds 1 also got some stuff.

#samandmax20th In the months after Season One wrapped, we led up to Season Two’s premiere by posting behind-the-scenes content under the banner The Summer of Sam & Max. (Share this thread for your LAST CHANCE to win a game key, and read on for our final 20th anniversary contest!)
#samandmax20th After Sam & Max Season One wrapped up, the development team rolled right onto Season Two while the web/marketing team worked on getting the bonus DVDs and case files finished and out to customers. (Hey, share this thread for a chance to win a game key!)
#samandmax20th Making trailers for the Sam & Max episodes was a challenge because we needed a new one every month. Reuse of sets and characters made differentiating the episodes difficult, plus we didn’t want to spoil any puzzles. (Share this thread for a chance to win a game key!)

#samandmax20th Halfway through Sam & Max Season One, the Game Developer’s Conference took place in San Francisco. Culture Shock was up for a Game Developer’s Choice award for Best Writing but lost to Zelda: Twilight Princess. 🤷♂️ (Psst, share this thread for a chance to win a game key!)
#samandmax20th Before Sam & Max Season One launched, fans were anxious about buying it. Downloadable games were uncommon and people worried about losing access. We needed to convince them we wouldn’t take their money and run. (Share this thread for a chance to win a game key!)
#samandmax20th Season One’s second episode, Situation: Comedy, has a puzzle sequence where Sam & Max do improv during a sitcom taping. This turned into one of design director Dave Grossman’s favorite puzzles of the season. (Share this thread for a chance to win a game key!)
#samandmax20th In the fall of 2006, while the Sam & Max fandom was getting excited for Season One, the greater gaming community was focused on the upcoming launch of Nintendo’s new console, the Wii. (Share this thread for a chance to win a game key, and read on for a super easy contest!)

#samandmax20th In episode 3 of Sam & Max Season One, the Freelance Police encounter a poker player named Leonard Steakcharmer. Funny thing, though — he really looks like this other guy named Boris Krinkle. (Share this thread for a chance to win a game key!)
#samandmax20th As Season One wound down, the animators and chore artists had some free time before they had to start on Season Two. We liked the outtakes that showed during the credits of Pixar movies and decided to try it. (Share this thread for a chance to win a game key!)

#samandmax20th An early but critical part of Sam & Max Season One’s early development was voice casting. With E3 swiftly approaching, we did a casting call for the trailer and decided to use David Nowlin for both Sam and Max. (Share this thread for a chance to win a game key!)

#samandmax20th Sam & Max was Telltale’s first “season” of games, with monthly release dates announced up front. This was a departure from how other episodic games like Half-Life, SiN, and even Telltale’s own Bone series were being marketed. (Share this thread for a chance to win a game key!

Is motorcyles on this gta vi screenshot a typo? Sometimes I get fixated on the smallest of things, haha.
Finished The Blood of Dawnwalker, absolutely loved it. The vibe, the time system, the story and how it all works together? Superb. Nothing felt out of place.
One of the first games I ever played, definitely one of my favorites still. I remember replaying it one day and noticing @nicholasherman.bsky.social credited as an intern. Since then? Directed some of my other favorites. Industry can be bleak, but teams like one at @adhocstudio.com shine on.
Want to feel even more ancient (maybe the same amount of ancient, really)? The first trailer for Sam & Max Season One debuted at E3 on May 10, 2006... 20 years ago today!
Made a tiny game design related poll, really curious what you would pick. Yes, you.

Finished The Outer Worlds 2. It was a fun experience, much like the first game but better in many ways. I wish there was more to the companions. The ones I didn't take on the final mission didn't participate in any way, which was a shame. Mass Effect, and even Dead Money dlc for FNV did it better.
Just found out that one of the companions in The Outer Worlds 2 is voiced by @taralangellava.bsky.social who also revoiced two characters in a New Vegas mod Brave New World that I playtested a while ago. And not only they are superbly performed, but so distinct I only found a connection via imdb.
Still having a blast with the Outer Worlds 2. Not only it feels like I can play any sort of character I want with ease, each session is like an episode of a cool tv show to me. Main menu is also very welcoming.
So Dispatch's been great all the way through, can't wait for whatever folks at @adhocstudio.com make next ❤
So not only did Pillars of Eternity 1 receive a turn-based mode in beta, but you can also now switch the main menu screen to the original image instead of the dlc one. I needed that, so thanks for reading my mind.
So Dispatch's still cool, and The Outer Worlds 2 feels much better than the first one so far. The new skill system's my jam, and the fact there's no carry weight is like a breath of fresh air.
Had a blast with this one, can't wait for next episodes.
