It's been a long time since I've built a deck that I've enjoyed this much, this early into its lifetime than I have Neerdiv. Feels like I always have 7+ cards in hand, and can generate a ton of value through the GY too.

Rough first draft completed. Going to need a lot of playtesting to truly understand what ratios of my own interaction, protection and card advantage spells I need. Can't rely on Jester to theive all that PLUS win conditions in every game. That's too much to ask.

I will stand on this hill - alone if need be; - Blue is the weakest colour in EDH. - It's hard nearly all its identity stripped away. - What identity is left is simultaneously terrible in commander and also hated for absolutely no justifiable reason. Blue needs new tools, much like White once did.

As an LGS employee, these Commander Mystery Booster boxes being this stacked & not widely distributed to WPN stores is unfortunate. Hoping that changes for 2027 as they see public response because wow all these spoilers from GenCon are wild, fun, and most likely gonna be hard to come by as singles.

One of my weakest skills in the Custom Set creation is the world building, creative, and particularly flavour text. I find that barring minor phrasing, I've got the mechanical aspects and power-level balance of cards there about now. But crafting an engaging world is still a bit foreign to me.
Loved it. Gave me everything I wanted and just a little bit more. Some gorgeous shots and great set pieces, but nothing lost in between.

Time to log off for the night, we think. Stupid bear, with its stupid abilities, being stupid. Good job I can control exactly what cards get what effects in my custom sets. I can choose to make cards that encourage interesting play patterns, and engaging gameplay.
These 3 abilities on the same card is infinitely more detrimental to the essence of Magic than first strike, deathtouch, and trample would be on a single card. But people aren't prepared to have that conversation because it would mean recognising that they're what they claim blue players to be.
Never happened and never will happen.
Having seen multiple people get themselves on Playtest cards, nice to see WotC finally put me on a card. They just didn't need to say it out loud.
I'd taken a hiatus from card design for a few weeks due to creative burnout, and prep for MagicCon. I returned to it this week and while this card is intended for set 3, it feels the most "direct from WotC" card I've made so far. Also feels more thematically appropriate than her Aetherdrift card.
5 of the white (mythic) rares in The Hobbit we've seen so far cost 1W. That *feels* weird, and a little wrong.
I run between 33 and 40 lands (dependant on curve) and I personally use the 7-7-6-6-5-5.. mulligan. Overly lenient mulliganning doesn't provide me the data I need, and would result in poorer quality of deck. If I'm harsh on myself, I don't get caught out when people want to follow strict mulligans.

Still remember exactly where I was during this match. I was in the Armeena, a local curry house with my extended family, and the kitchen opened the doors so we could all hear it on the radio. It's one of very few things I actively remember past the age of 10.
