These folks bought an expensive fursuit to farm instagram likes, pivoted to harassment of other "weird" furry subsects (i.e., babyfurs, etc.) that make them feel self conscious about their new hobby, and then just. Don't actually go into furry spaces like art galleries. Just insta/tiktok.
I think that the only conclusion one can really draw is that there is a clique of tiktok 20somethings that adopted furry culture as an aesthetic to appropriate when they were stuck online in the pandemic, but don't actually have any roots or any interest in the actual fandom and its spaces at large.
