gamer 24 i love this world and having fun dirksen.co.uk

Unsleeved prism last night and I guess it finally sunk in that she's gone. What an insane hero, with some high highs, low lows, and the ability to regularly completely take over games while down 20+ life. No better feeling than a board of spectra. See y'all in 2029 when ALS is playable again 😔

I don't know how many times I've said this exact sentence but I am so close to something huge it's insane. Had three runs in the span on an hour, all on pace for Master, die at ~800. Really think I can make this happen in a month or two. Just gotta keep at it. I'm not practicing m roll tho

This Thursday I was 4 seconds and 1 Tetris away from being crowned Master, which for lack of better phrasing is really fucking hard. Truly crushing but there's still work to be done. Hope to update you all shortly

Today I blocked 9/10 and sent 11 at my opponent five turns in a row until he died. I've loved illusionist since my very first day playing but these are the games that leave a terrible taste in my mouth - boardstate cards that demand immediate answers certain decks don't have or can't find quickly

I have gone on record many times saying it isn't possible to die in Tetris if you simply don't want to. Despite this earning me many a sarcastic rib from friends after failed attempts, I stand by this philosophy. There is always a way out, and if you couldn't find it, you didn't want it enough.

First ever sub-9 (Cutoff time for grandmaster is 8:45). This run was nothing special (see: s8) yet also the best I've ever played. Need to play more for tetrises in later sections, I keep getting triples and it's hurting my grade bad

this week I've been playing the best tetris ive ever played in my life, im getting grades at levels i never thought possible (s4 before 700) and yet i still choke at 940 every time without fail. i think it's time to seriously grind ta death and have no fun. ill post a credits clear by tomorrow

Quake 3 is one of the most beautiful competitive games I've ever experienced. A game where finding yourself airborne in a firefight leads to certain death, and where your sole movement option is jumping through the air in a straight line. Strafe jumping is so simple yet infinitely elegant in context

Super Metroid is a fantastic game but I got bored and put it down halfway through when I played it a few years back. Gave Hollow Knight a try on Wednesday and have since sunk nearly 20 hours into it. Probably one of the best games I've ever played. Simply one immaculate design decision after another

Yesterday's SAGE armory meant ransacking my closet for my old CC Dromai deck, which I built and took to a Battle Hardened two years ago. Somehow I didn't get judge called for these bad boys, and I have no fucking clue why I thought this was a better idea than just finding reds lmfao

Trading cards crudely drawn on with sharpie

First S9 clear since March! 20G Tetris is maybe the most nerve-wracking, skill-testing thing I've ever done. Every emotion I've ever felt in my life, every high, every low, has been solely because of this game. If I had to pay per play as intended I would be on the streets in days
