Name those fish… 🎃 Just spotted this scene from the movie Hocus Pocus. Home decor of the Dennison family features two framed fish prints. Only context is that the family recently moved from Los Angeles to Salem. Left image appears to be a trout sp. 🤷‍♂️

Inside the Dennison home in the movie Hocus Pocus is a pair of fish prints- one with four species and the other with a likely trout species. Fish print featuring four species. "Part of what we're doing here today is working with citizen scientist anglers who know how to catch these fish, and get samples that will contribute to our data to better understand these populations, their ecology, life history.” www.mankatofreepress.com/sports/local... @garlab.bsky.social

Heilman: Bowfin fishing, research leads to new discoveries

Well, the native fish folks are at it again, stirring the pot and doing weird stuff in public. They’re relentless like that—but in a good way.

“Wait, wait. I'm worried what you just heard was, 'Give me a lot of socket extensions.' What I said was, 'Give me all the socket extensions you have.' Do you understand?” (a la Ron Swanson) 4Runner maintenance 😩

A 12mm socket, swivel, and a comedic number of extensions are required to remove/replace the starter bolts on a 3rd gen 4Runner. Eye protection from the dirt raining down on your face and a headlamp are also essential.

As an avid motorcyclist AND a scientist, I couldn’t help but collect some sound data when installing a new exhaust on my bike. “Loud pipes save lives” is complete bullshit. I reduced the loudness by almost 10% to 96.5db at 6k rpm with improved performance. Forest friendly too. 😎

New DominatoR exhaust on my Kove 450 Rally. Made in Poland, this exhaust is a great mod. With the “heavy” decibel killer installed on this new exhaust, I achieved almost a 10% reduction in decibels over the previous exhaust.
