Did you know that Disabled people are 2 to 4 times more likely to die or be injured in conflict and natural disasters than non-disabled people? We are disproportionately impacted by disasters, due to systemic failures. #DisabilityPrideMonth
16% of the world’s population is disabled. Disabled people are losing access to services, housing, education, emergency response, and more. #DisabilityPrideMonth
July is #DisabilityPrideMonth Disability Pride does not mean we are ignoring the attacks happening to our communities. Disabled kin and allies use this time to honor the brilliance, resilience, and culture of Disabled communities. Disability Pride is survival, resistance, healing, and wisdom.
