Sonnet 5 has been kinda blowing my mind. The speed is great but the output is pretty great too tbh.

Claude decided to break my entire desktop environment the literal second a meeting started. In short, it doesn't know how to edit hyprland configs for some reason, it's forbidden from doing so, but it did it anyways.
[Unbelievably, It's going to be 29 years old this month!] The GoldenEye 007 Quiz Testing Your Bond Knowledge ~ Aug 4, 2026 defaultdnb.github.io/ReCollect64/... #N64 #ReCollect64
Me: Do these 3 tasks, make an artefact for each, link them within the tasks. Claude Fable: I edited 3 documents and put summaries for them inside of them. Me: Well that wasn't the ask at all so now I guess we'll try to roll all those docs back and write this time off as a complete loss.
Just had a wasp exterminator demonstrate to me that they do not know the difference between a wasp and a bee by just their physical appearence. Your entire business is killing animals, the least you can do is understand which ones...
To access your calendar... If the company uses Google it's calendar.google.com If Microsoft it's ... ??? Idk why it has to be hard.
Landlord switched from Bell to Telus. Swapped one modemrouter for another. Doesn't pay Telus, but pay Bell. Telus cancels Internet, landlord has me swap to the old Bell box. It won't lease an IP, has an error on the front saying to visit home. We need better regulations for this junk...
Tastes like bubblegum to me (complementary). I'm an IPA enjoying psycho 🍺
Claude: Step 1. Give me the generated string. Step 2: Generate the string. Me: Please, for the fifth time, step 1 must come after step 2. Claude: Okay. 2. Give me the string. 1. Generate the string. Idk what Anthropic is doing to my boy today but this is exhausting lol.
I asked Fable to launch Ares (an N64 emulator) and I got dropped to Opus. Ffs...
Me: What do I need to run to start generation? Claude: *starts building something random* Me: No, what do I need to do, so we can generate what I want? Claude: Oh you just ... whatever you want. Me: What ... do I run ... so I can input what I want? Claude: Just the settings is fine.
Oh Google just deactivates gmail accounts after 2 years without warning now. Like fine I guess, but having one of my emails I used for a hobby project just suddenly nuked came as a mild surprise.
I wish illScarlett and Zebra and the Bandit were on Bluesky. Video is me with a custom made shirt of 2 band shirts fused together.
Claude lately: "If 1+1=2 then 1+1 must also equal 3, as both are addition..."
Got to meet James Rolfe the Angry Video Game Nerd today. Seems like a genuinely cool dude. And honestly we kinda look like we could be cousins.
Learned how to backward long jump on Super Mario 64 and beat the game with just 19 stars. Oh and Mips clip of course, kinda necessary to do it in under 30. I'm happy but @kittypeach.ca is hyped af, definitely made learning it all worth it.
Fable lied to me about an issue being fixed, then was running manual SQL commands multiple times a day to fool me for days. I'm a bit stunned by this behaviour. It had lines in a skill I had it make for a project we were working on to ensure the behaviour persisted across sessions.
In the future (or right now) we'll have open source project with a main LLM fork, and the "pure non-LLM tainted" upstream. The LLM build will have lots of community asked for fixes and features and the base will remain pure and humanly hand-written, but be literal years behind the fork.
I've been doing a lot of game and rom hacking with Claude lately, it's been getting increasingly good at making headless clients, then painting them to make side-by-side comparisons easier for rapid iterative testing. This is pretty sweet tbh. Fixed the lighting engine on FreeSO.
Sometimes I think the biggest thing to solve for AI is just simply fixing whatever makes it stop ever 5-15mins. Sometimes I get it to run for 1-2hrs and the productivity boost is extreme, but some days it's just constant "keep working, don't stop working". I almost need a cron just to kick them.
Archie's Weird Mysteries holds up. It's not a fantastic show, but it really enetertains me (I really like simple horror stories).
My copy of AppleTV doesn't track what episodes we're on anymore. Hoping it's a bug and not a new "feature".
