The Bug Club - Mr Anyway’s Holey Spirits Perform! One Foot in Bethlehem. Almost pulled the trigger on this online so many times. Was pretty shocked to find it in Brantford Ontario of all places. Shout out to zBTFD records - absolutely worth a visit!
Grateful Dead - Anthem of the Sun First time listening to this and loving every second.
Goose - Cincinnati 2022.12.31 What are the odds of finding a local used copy?! It’s my lucky day. 132 more days until they hit Toronto.
Yo La Tengo - Genius + Love = Yo La Tengo I somehow never owned this collection. A great reminder of the fact that Hoboken’s hardest working band kicked (and continues to kick) a lot of ass.
Goose - Live at Madison Square Gardens 2025.06.28 The three songs featuring the horn section are wonderful. I don’t need horns in the band full time, but when they sit in for special occasions it feels magical.
Little Feat - Time Loves a Hero Some ballads, some experimentation and some howling. Really enjoying exploring their catalog.
Grateful Dead / John Oswald - Grayfolded I’m only through the first 12” but boy does that second side hit hard. I love that such an “out there” experiment can actually pay off.
Galaxie 500 - Live at CBGBs 1988.12.13 What a joy to have such a great sounding performance documenting this era. I wonder if Kramer captured many other unheard recordings at this quality.
My Morning Jacket - The Waterfall II. Not sure why it has taken me so long to give MMJ a chance. On paper the Will Oldham / Jason Molina leanings of Jim James should have sucked me right in but they were never on my radar. This is a really nice listen. Wasn’t expecting the first side to be so poppy
Goose - Live at MSG 2025.06.28 So glad to have the entire show available on nature’s least convenient format. Incredible performance and the audio sounds amazing. The release is a great capper to a fantastic year for the band. What a good year for Goose/Geese bands!
Goose - Chain Yer Dragon Finally received my copy 6 weeks after it was shipped. Definitely the best of their five studio LPs.
Yussef Dayes - Black Classical Hearing his music for the first time was a highlight this year. Need to find some live material next.
Sqwerv - Wonder EP Fun dreamy yachty goodness. More bands need hype stickers like this one
Suicide - Surrender A solid collection of tracks across their discography. Felt like the right transition after listening to Spacemen 3.

Goose - 2025.03.11 Live After last night’s incredible second set in Detroit, tucking in with everybody’s favorite 80 minute song in the least convenient way possible.
Spacemen 3 - Recurring Admittedly my least favorite of their 4 albums, I’d forgotten how hard the back half of Sonic’s side goes. I never knew his killer line, “Your eyes. It’s a day’s work to look into them” was a Laurie Anderson nod.
The Riches - The Roches LP I got sucked in by the novelty of the opening track but the rest of the album is fantastic. 45 years later and not much else sounds like this!
Tortoise - Millions Now Living Will Never Die Huge thanks to @cartwright.bsky.social for tracking down a copy of this for me. A “forever favorite” that I finally have on vinyl.
Turnstile - Never Enough Definitely not my go-to genre but there are earworms for days on this album
