The last time I noodled on this kind of concept was in the NFT days. What made sense at the time was for a publisher to stake for their reputation that the content they produce is authentic and not an illegal copy. They can then publish any amount of copies they want into a marketplace.

Is this a thing? Something about private data on AT Proto, where a person could purchase content and have a copy of said content injected into their Private Data, so it could not be removed without their consent? I’m thinking “I’ve bought a copy of a book, and now the book blob lives in my PDS”

🎬 Dystopian/Sci-Fi film "The Omega Man" premiered 55 years ago today in Canada & US theatres (August 1, 1971)! Based on Richard Matheson's novel "I Am Legend", it was directed by Boris Sagal and stars Charlton Heston, Anthony Zerbe, Rosalind Cash, Paul Koslo, Eric Laneuville & Lincoln Kilpatrick.

I don't want a "Smart Fridge" that orders milk for me. I want a fridge that lasts 25 years and doesn't have a privacy policy that allows it to share my late-night snacking habits with my health insurance provider.

ATProto builders, I've been having some really positive conversations with multiple funders who want to invest in the ecosystem. The tides are shifting, the interest is here. But, we need to talk. 👇

Is there a face mask for people with resting angry face so coworkers know they're just concentrating and not actually angry? Glad for remote work, but every now and again IRL things happen.
