THE LUMINAS (Full Event Recording)

The Luminas is a new national honours program launched by Diversity Arts Australia and Media Diversity Australia to celebrate First Nations and culturally diverse leaders shaping Australia’s media, arts, and cultural sectors. With its inaugural ceremony set for April 2026 at the Sydney Opera House, The Luminas recognises trailblazers across three categories: Storyteller Honour – recognising powerful and authentic storytelling. Leadership Honour – celebrating visionaries driving change and representation. Hall of Fame Honour – acknowledging lifetime achievement and enduring impact. Each category honours leaders from both creative industries and media, reflecting the breadth of Australia’s diverse talent. The Luminas marks the beginning of a new tradition of recognition, visibility and cultural pride. Acknowledgements: The Luminas is presented by Diversity Arts Australia and Media Diversity Australia in partnership with Sydney Opera House, NITV and SBS, with funding from the Office for the Arts, and sponsored by Hachette Australia, WELD Stories and Design Awards. Diversity Arts Australia receives core funding from Creative Australia and Create NSW. Note: This page contains images and the names of Aboriginal people who have passed.
