I stumbled onto "Ellis" (also known as "Inspector Ellis") on AcornTV, and it's probably the most refreshing police procedural that I've seen in ages. DCI Ellis drops into various UK police stations to solve crimes that they can't or won't. The writing is superb, and the stories keep you guessing.
