Epic sugar cane at Super Store. Not sure what to call it. A shoot? A rod? A staff? A stick? A pole? I’ve never seen this in the store before. It was about 4 feet long and as usual, I wanted to wield it like a sword.

Seeing these kinds of gig promos makes me miss the 90s so much. You could look through music magazines in the UK and see endless ads for shows like this. The Verve with opening act Oasis for £5. It’s crazy. This Canadian boy missed a lot of cool stuff.

What Christmas stuff do you do during the season? We always go out to Banff to go up the gondola for dinner on the summit. We drive around to look at lights. Always go to the Zoo Lights and the Spruce Meadows market.

Do people go to bed and sleep for 8 hours and wake up and feel fine? That seems like a myth.
Saw these at the grocery store. Really wanted to pick one up and wield it like a sword. They were about 2.5 feet long.
Two different kinds of people at gigs: Person 1 “are you actually going to play anything good?” (Dancefloor is packed, of course) or Person 2 “I’m loving everything you’re playing. Any chance you have <something>? No worries if not”. I feel very differently about these two people.
It’s hard for me to believe I started out DJing with crates of tapes. The fast forwarding and rewinding was a nightmare. I have to say, modern DJs will never know that pain. Sometimes I look at my memory stick before a gig and just shake my head in disbelief.
Are you going to make it out to our NYE party this year? For the decades that gave us tapes vs CDs, the dancefloor will be packed and the old school vibes will be flowing. This one usually sells out and it’s VERY fun. Get on board!
I know some people enjoy the cold. I think I prefer cold over extreme heat honestly. I HATE driving on slippery roads though. Definitely the worst part of winter for me.
