Weird take: “Think About You” from Guns N’ Roses is their attempt at making their own version of “Summer of ‘69.”

It’s wild to me that it’s not even 8pm and Guns N’ Roses is already on stage. I still remember the first time seeing them in 1991 at MSG and they didn’t even get on stage until almost 2am.

It’s a little weird seeing Public Enemy play at MetLife Stadium while it’s still daylight out.

I hate to admit this seeing as I'm a huge fan of The Jesus and Mary Chain, but I was today years old when I learned that they sampled Einsturzende Neubauten's "Tanz Debil" on their track "Tumbledown." More reasons why "Honey's Dead" is one of my all-time favorite albums.

So, the good news is that I didn't get sunblock in my eyes during my family beach vacation. The bad news is that after [redacted - # of years I've been alive], I got my first sunburn on my shoulder...at least, I'm pretty sure it's a sunburn.

At the risk of oversharing, I had a super awkward conversation with my sister two days into our family vacation. It had to do with the bidet in our Airbnb.

For all the good 90s alternative that came out in that era, I sometimes need to remind myself that that decade also fooled us into thinking that the Rollins Band's "Liar" was a cool song. Just listened to it now and it's about 90% spoken word BS over jazzy noodling and 10% dumb screaming.
