Seen online. All I can say is that Gore Vidal looks like Luigi, Truman Capote was the original demon twink, and Tennessee Williams is giving much stronger top energy in this pic than the TV appearances later in life that I've seen.

Me last night: “Oh boo hoo my body doesn’t adjust to Pacific time easily.” Me this morning: “I guess my body isn’t letting me sleep any mo— HOW DID I SLEEP UNTIL NINE-THIRTY A. M. PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME?!?!?!”
It also doesn’t help that, for whatever reason, my body just doesn’t seem to adjust to being in the Pacific time zone. It will completely reset the first night after I arrive in/return from Europe, but change my time zone two hours and I temporarily become an early riser for as long as I’m out here
There is a part of me that says I’m on vacation and should fill every moment with something. There is another part of me that says I’m over 40, woke up early this morning, and haven’t left for the club by 11:15 PM, so maybe I should just enjoy the quiet night in.
Funny that this shows up on my feed while I’m out of state and the California boys are all over my Scruff
I'm in a hotel for a few days and the shower head is low enough that I can touch my chin to the top of it. This is reminding me that one of my more cancelable opinions is that making things that should be high up high enough that tall people can fit under it is an accessibility issue.
I was in the audience of The Price is Right today. A handsome staffer named Joseph hit me up after and I didn't get his number. Do you know Joseph from Price? Do you know how to reskeet this come people can see?
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Twenty-Six, why are big companies still shipping devices that use proprietary power connectors and/or USB 1.0 rather than USB-C? I just opened something that manages to have both issues so now I need to buy a charger specifically for this device…
Patrick Mahomes' first touchdown of the season and Jean Smart's Emmy acceptance speech were literally happening at the same time. This scheduling feels specifically designed to antagonize me, as one of the few gay guys who cares about both.
I remember reading as a teenager in the 1990s and feeling like some of the things being satirized were slightly too old and slightly too British for me to fully understand the jokes, but the stuff that hit worked.
Elsewhere on Bluesky folks are noting that The Kids These Days aren't much into Douglas Adams. As someone who is much into Douglas Adams (and in fact wrote an intro to new edition of his works) allow me to remind folks that it's not actually surprising when The Kids aren't into decades-old stuff.
It’s not really a bear event unless the elevator breaks down under the load.
Fun fact: they’re called drop sets because they make you want to collapse from exhaustion

Watching this evidence (and more) surface on the BuzzerBlog Discord today was fascinating, depressing, and infuriating all at once. There's no hint of struggle with these feelings; it felt closer to pride (in the "opposite of shame" sense.) Surprisingly brazen for someone with so much to lose.

The things I hear about how Minnesotans deal with cold sound a lot like how we Texans deal with heat -- stay indoors during the worst of it if you can, use every strategy to stay safe/comfortable if you can't be inside, and take full advantage of every moment when it's a little less bad.
So here’s a secret from a former Tampa resident: we never ever walk anywhere between July and October. Those people you see outside with you are tourists wondering how we can possibly. We don’t. The house, car and office have A/C, that’s how you survive.
I think that, technically, Wile E. Coyote now counts as nudist representation in film
this one is amazing
Just had the most depressing $15 cheeseburger from Jack in the Box. I miss when a fast food burger meant feeling like you got what you paid for (not much) and not like they were actively trying to discourage you from cutting into their profits by expecting food in return for the money you gave them.
Siri giving me directions: “Bear left.” Me: “I have a name.”
My city is celebrating Pride today. It was 107°F/42°C today. Either Mother Nature or the organizers are homophobic for expecting bears to be outside in this weather.
I will eat my hat if this doesn’t find either: 1. Districts run by “Democrats” (though school boards are non-partisan) are spending wastefully and that’s why they don’t have money 2. School finance is broken and Texas should find a way to cut your taxes while somehow giving schools more money
According to the Texas governor’s office, the review was “to ensure taxpayer dollars reach teachers and students.”
A scream into the void, software developer edition: Everyone who worked on this project in recent years either quit or got laid off, but my name appears in the git commit history a few times in 2014 so apparently it's mine now.
We can rebuild her. We have the technology.
It's supposed to be 106°F/41°C for Pride this weekend. Expecting bears to be out in that kind of heat is homophobic. (Dear organizers: either we do this in June like everyone else and take the risk of rain, or we follow Palm Springs and wait til well into fall.)
For a while, my team at work had 3 vegetarians and 2 big guys who lifted a lot and "needed" lots of protein (I was one) so every team lunch out was the all-you-can-eat Indian buffet because it satisfied everyone. Working all afternoon while digesting your weight in chicken tikka is nigh impossible.
Bold of me to have assumed I would have any energy after eating a big lunch of Indian food
In case you were wondering, I do not recommend hitting a pothole hard enough for it to ruin your wheel. I especially do not recommend doing it when you're 40 miles/65 km from home in an area without mobile phone service.
Just paused mid-workout to clock that the Zoomer walking past was a homosexual but either not aware of it or trying very hard to act like he isn’t. Are we really back to that kind of thing?
This very standard-issue straight, white, conservative, Christian woman I work with said that she's going to a fake wedding reception in a few weeks -- apparently, it's a wedding reception minus the wedding (or the couple.) I just cannot fathom doing that kind of thing recreationally.
That awkward (but very gay) moment when you run into a guy and you both agree that you have kissed each other in the past but each remember circumstances that the other says is impossible
