There’s a unique sort of fandom-brain that seems unable to see people engage with a story as presented. If a character is introduced as an antagonist, it doesn’t matter that they get redeemed later if the audience isn’t supposed to know. It’s actual lowkey media illiteracy.

That’s a wrap on Resident Evil Requiem. Great game, total RE fanservice. Played the hits more than almost any other game in the series. Grace is such an all-time great addition to the protagonist cast, Old Man Leon ruled. 4.5/5

I actually do think there's a uniquely interesting way to portray Carrie in today's climate vs. the 70's. Kids are more cruel on social media now than King ever could have dreamed of when he wrote it, and it's looking like Flanagan is 100% committed to tapping into that.

my biggest takeaways: - 1k views from twitter. ALL that noise/hate for almost literally nothing. - video has 96% likes. - several qrt’s are straight up bot replies, down to specific examples/buzzwords/phrasing. genuine dead internet shit. twitter just isn’t real life.
