Having one of those days where it feels like I can't do anything right...
The new RideKC.org is terribly designed. Looks like one of those spam sites you reach when you misspell the url by one letter. Ugh...

We could fill the entire Seattle budget hole in a month by charging drivers for the laws they're breaking daily.

Twas a pleasure showing @jahorne.bsky.social this transformative project!
King County Metro Rapid Ride G Line.
The biggest think real tree people could do is push for better protections/maintenance for new street trees as well as increased requirements for trees on public land. There's no reason we can't have density and shaded streets.
Their advocacy is responsible for a net loss in trees across King County. They don't care about trees, they care about 'their' trees.
Additional request: did anyone get photos of Metro billboards and other marketing materials in the wild? Unfortunately our photographer was pulled in other directions. Thanks!
Putting out a call: we didn't get many good photos of the world cup signage I worked so hard on. Did anyone get good photos and would you be willing to allow me to use them?

The tree people are nuts.

Vigils are not the place for Civics 101, But cities in WA cannot make their own gun laws. Only the state can. And even though we’ve been making huge strides thanks to @momsdemandaction.org & others, our work failed to prevent this tragedy. I failed you. #waleg failed you.
I was at the vigil organized by community members from gun violence prevention groups tonight at #Seattle Center. Some folks came and heckled @mayor.seattle.gov. Friends. I know you’re angry and scared. But if I may, let me offer you some better people to yell at. Yell at me. And I can say why 🧵
Basic rules of society that we need to re-establish post Covid: - You actually have to stop for red lights and stop signs. - If you want to watch videos or listen to music in a shared public space, you need to use headphones. - Your pet does not need to go everywhere with you. - Don’t litter.
Every country has people with mental health issues. Every country has criminals and twisted people. Not every country has free guns. We're also not even in the top 50 freest countries. So fuck off with the 'the gov will treat us badly without guns' argument... freedomhouse.org/country/scor...

Honestly a miracle we didn't have a mass shooting during the world cup...
Another design option. Simplifies the graphic and emphasizes the pictogram. Thoughts?
Question: would folks be interested in a line of tote bags with ST station signs on them? If so, do you prefer the old style (old font and pictograms) or the newer style (net font and station codes)?

After upping my rent $700 (over 5 years) and then charging me $800 upon move out, my last apartment is still on the market (5 months later) listed for $200 less than they were going to charge me to renew. Suck it, landlord.
The only way drivers will not risk others' lives is if it damages their property. Property > lives for the average cager.
Just days after a driver ran over this steel bollard another driver crashed into the new protected bike lane on Southwest Boulevard. But yeah, let's keep having a moral panic about kids on e-bikes!
