Sociology as a discipline offers people a set of useful lenses for thinking about how people make meaning in the world. Therefore the discipline will continue to exist, regardless of what the reactionaries say or do.

This is awful, and a reinforcement of age old "visual inspections" of women's bodies used to determine if they were able to participate in sports...only women athletes are subjected to such "tests" especially those who do not fit the image of the "ideal" womanhood 😡
