Got home about 45 minutes ago and showered and been unwinding. I love a schedule like today. And honestly, I’m actually enjoying the work! It’s fun, the food’s good, it’s not that hard and it’s very structured, which is good for easily-confused me. 😅

I do have to say, while it’s very corporate cookie cutter, the food at Wingstop is pretty good. Like, the chicken they buy is good quality, the wings are good. It’s nice to see. You really have no idea what a place is gonna serve you until you’ve seen the kitchen.

Sometimes, I love being a cog in a machine. I love when a place can function without me. But then other times, I hate that feeling, and hate thinking that a place doesn’t actually need me. It was the same with poker; sometimes I was the best one and well-liked, sometimes I was invisible.

Got SLAMMED from 9PM to fuckin midnight, when we close. Sucked ass. Cleaning took almost an hour and a half and I felt like I was gonna throw up by the end of it (from not eating, doing too much activity all at once and overheating). Just got home fifteen minutes ago. Hate that.

The interview went well - $60k a year, basically what I already do, much more laid back than the corporate job - but, it’s about 45 minutes from my apartment, and the guy said 50 hours a week. More than I’ve worked before, but maybe it’s worth it? Gotta do some math and pro/con comparisons.

I told my parents how a job that’ll pay basically $30/hour wants to interview me tomorrow and they said they think I should spend a year at the corporate job before I switch jobs again (for, I dunno, the fifth or sixth time in two months?). I know I won’t be there a year.

Still financially stressed, doctor helped me out today and I am supposed to rest for a few days, but I should recover and get back on the article. I got some cans of soup and a couple frozen pizzas so I should be able to last until I can finish the article. I'm putting off the eye exam for now

Unexpected visitor that I have to drop everything for or I don't get to see them (you know, those free-spirit types) got me drunk over a couple of nights and I don't like to do comms while drunk so here's a quick Doc Ock because we watched Spiderman 2 on the first night.

I need to replace a car battery and thats annoying and god knows when I can but at least its a battery thats dying when its supposed to. I say "at least" but there is some kind of genuine euphoria when a broken thing made it through the life span it was supposed to have.
