Got home about 45 minutes ago and showered and been unwinding. I love a schedule like today. And honestly, I’m actually enjoying the work! It’s fun, the food’s good, it’s not that hard and it’s very structured, which is good for easily-confused me. 😅

I do have to say, while it’s very corporate cookie cutter, the food at Wingstop is pretty good. Like, the chicken they buy is good quality, the wings are good. It’s nice to see. You really have no idea what a place is gonna serve you until you’ve seen the kitchen.
Buying new phones in the 00s was entirely about identity. Now it's just "what's basically the same, but the camera's a bit better, and the battery isn't shit".
Work’s all right so far, but sometimes they’ll say something to me like I’ve been working here for years and know everything already. It’s my second day, lol! Like?
I'm in so much fucking pain right now. Definitely taking my doctor's advice
Sometimes, I love being a cog in a machine. I love when a place can function without me. But then other times, I hate that feeling, and hate thinking that a place doesn’t actually need me. It was the same with poker; sometimes I was the best one and well-liked, sometimes I was invisible.
Oh man, I slept so well. Took me forever to fall asleep, though. Still tired, but I’m noon to eight today, so it shouldn’t be as bad as yesterday was for me.
Got SLAMMED from 9PM to fuckin midnight, when we close. Sucked ass. Cleaning took almost an hour and a half and I felt like I was gonna throw up by the end of it (from not eating, doing too much activity all at once and overheating). Just got home fifteen minutes ago. Hate that.
We’ve got a bunch of timers that beep when they go off, and the people here just let them beep and beep and bruh it’s giving me such a headache. 😫
Corporate job hasn’t been awful so far, but that’s cuz I’ve been doing computer onboarding shit literally since I got here four hours ago. 😅
Stupid anxious for work tonight, as I always am for a first day at a job, but also cuz I didn’t have time to get in a nap, and we close at midnight, I believe. 😫 Getting a large coffee to hopefully carry me through.
The interview went well - $60k a year, basically what I already do, much more laid back than the corporate job - but, it’s about 45 minutes from my apartment, and the guy said 50 hours a week. More than I’ve worked before, but maybe it’s worth it? Gotta do some math and pro/con comparisons.
I’m just a gibbering pile of anxiety right now. Tomorrow’s gonna be stressful as hell. I gotta get my allergy shots, do that interview, go home and take a quick nap, then buzz my head, shower, eat and go to work. Ugh.
I wasn't prepared for the phrase "roadside sex museum" (name of my nuwave band) let alone the notion there's be that many of them
Most of the life-sized figures in Japan's roadside sex museums were engineered by Tokyo Soken, a firm founded by ex-Toho film-studio staff, using wax-and-fiberglass techniques they honed making movies.
I told my parents how a job that’ll pay basically $30/hour wants to interview me tomorrow and they said they think I should spend a year at the corporate job before I switch jobs again (for, I dunno, the fifth or sixth time in two months?). I know I won’t be there a year.
Luckily the money people have helped with means my biggest existing bill was taken care of and will be gone by October
Still financially stressed, doctor helped me out today and I am supposed to rest for a few days, but I should recover and get back on the article. I got some cans of soup and a couple frozen pizzas so I should be able to last until I can finish the article. I'm putting off the eye exam for now
"people may benefit while you get nothing!" is the argument of losers who have not for one second helped anyone in their miserable lives
I have, with my own eyes, watched my tax dollars in the form of missiles as they hit buildings inhabited by civilians. I'd much prefer subsidizing a grocery story I don't use.
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
Unexpected visitor that I have to drop everything for or I don't get to see them (you know, those free-spirit types) got me drunk over a couple of nights and I don't like to do comms while drunk so here's a quick Doc Ock because we watched Spiderman 2 on the first night.

I need to replace a car battery and thats annoying and god knows when I can but at least its a battery thats dying when its supposed to. I say "at least" but there is some kind of genuine euphoria when a broken thing made it through the life span it was supposed to have.
So there’s once again an issue with my stupid insurance and that’s why my sleep meds haven’t gotten filled since calling it in Thursday. 😫 I think I fixed it, but I’ll have to check tomorrow to make sure.
