End the inequality. Extend NHS Practitioner Health to Northern Ireland. Doctors in Distress and a coalition of leading medical organisations are calling for the extension of Practitioner Health to 5,200 doctors and dentists with no access to the services available elsewhere in the UK.

This #NSMD, we gathered at Docklands Medical Centre to unveil a memorial plaque which honours the health and care professionals we have lost to suicide. Together with Doctors in Distress, we reflected, remembered, and spoke about how to protect the wellbeing of our colleagues across the UK.

We’ve planted 29 memorial trees across the UK to honour healthcare workers lost to suicide—and to spark vital conversations about protecting staff mental health. Want a tree at your organisation? Join our info session tomorrow, 10–10:45am: contact@doctors-in-distress.org.uk

Today the Government unveils its 10-year plan, focusing on neighbourhood health hubs and tech upgrades. Our hope is that workforce mental health is prioritised — without the right policies and investment, the crisis among health workers could worsen.

If you want a memorial tree at your hospital or GP practice to honour the lives of those healthcare workers who have died by suicide, we are running an info meeting today at 12pm. To get the link, please email contact@doctors-in-distress.org.uk

Our National Memorial Tree Campaign aims to have trees planted at every NHS organisation in the country in memory of healthcare workers who have taken their own lives. To find out more, we run a monthly information session online. Email contact@doctors-in-distress.org.uk.
