I actually can't believe this Joshua Bonehill-Paine story. I was at Jewish News as a journalist when he was in his Nazi pomp, sending harassing messages to Luciana Berger, and other Jewish public figures. How has Kemi Badenoch chosen this hill to die on, it's absolutely insane

the whole 'nothing has gotten better' discourse is of course fucking stupid in a million ways, but I just wanted to note that average dog lifespan in the United States has increased by two years since 2000.

The challenge of governing from the 2024 manifesto is that L anything that is different will be cited as illegitimate, and any pre-existing policy will be cited as not representing change. Better to take a run at a new mandate/manifesto than let a narrative spiral.

This is a bad sign because one of the biggest problems of the Starmer regime has been letting the Home Secretary dictate economic and industrial policy. Going along with that may suit the Westminster consensus, but it will continue to hobble that engine of ordinary life, industry and economy.

I see Farage asked in his address to the nation yesterday: "What's wrong with making money?" Nothing. But in his case, he did not "make" money; he was given the money. On the assumption that in this world, there is nothing for nothing, the question remains: what did he do in return for the money?
