this espresso machine is easily one of my best investments so far in 2026 after trying a few different beans and experiments, I‘m super happy with how my daily coffee tastes 1/2

part of running an analytics product: cleaning up data for users that got DDOS'd .. yesterday that was the case again :D 1/2

when the globe is constantly rotating, I stop it while changing the theme, so the transition is still smooth 😄
now showing notifications when new users join on the globe clicking them will focus the user on the globe ✌️
"I'm simultaneously extremely AI pilled and very bullish on humans" is the best statement I heard today
I'm ensuring that the globe experience on Vemetric will be suuuper smooth 🤌 again it's taking me longer than I would have liked, but it will be worth it :D
since today, Vemetric has its first customer on the 500k events plan! 🥳 (an existing user upgraded his plan) that's a huge milestone and I'm very proud to serve users with so much traffic :D
making sure the markers on the globe overlap each other correctly, depending on the current rotation and angle you look at them
We‘re living in times where updating your dependencies either leads to fixing or introducing vulnerabilities, you flip a coin 🙃
the hard question with a new MacBook is if you should put stickers on the clean plate or not 😬
got myself a new coffee machine a few weeks ago and oh boy I‘m enjoying it a lot :D it’s my first espresso machine, and my first time using ground coffee .. so a whole new world opened up 😬
nice what a little HN comment can do :) you can see the live results here: dub.sh/FfJP8Of not the biggest impact yet, but it's always about spreading the word and getting more eyes on your product 🫡
It was about time to add proper Uptime Monitoring + a Public Status page for Vemetric :D Powered by phare.io 🙌
I already wanted to rework Vemetric's landing page for some time, and last week I got a push to tackle it so there you go, I just released a new Hero Section for Vemetric's LP :D happy for any kind of feedback, especially regarding the new copy
making some progress with the new Globe view in Vemetric :) maan I'm missing working on such things more often

the playground got a fresh new coat ✌️ what an annoying type of work 😅 but I‘m happy with the outcome :D
I did a thing :) My M1 Pro served me soo well in the past 5 years, an incredible machine .. but I experienced some friction recently, especially when running multiple projects and tasks simultaneously so it's time for an upgrade 🚀
yesterday I did it! I upgraded Vemetric's main analytics database (Clickhouse) to the latest version after letting it slip for a longer time now I'm already feeling so much more confident doing such upgrades and migrations in production with zero downtime .. feels great :)
Vemetric itself might not have a lot of daily users / visitors yet (around 150) .. but my users have! so it’s important to setup a proper and scalable infrastructure right from the start, so I can handle my users‘ traffic without a problem 💪
instead of doom scrolling while I‘m on the go / waiting, I‘m now shiny hunting Pokemon on Fire Red ✌️😄
5 years of running my own company .. crazy! time flies when you’re having fun :D
I'm currently spending a lot of time and effort on DevOps topics for Vemetric on one side because it was necessary (e.g. memory leak, bloated docker images, ..), but also because I soon want to offer a proper self-hosted version for Vemetric, which should build upon a clean base 1/2
today I had my first ever onboarding call with a new Vemetric customer (he subscribed immediately without trying the product 😅) he's doesn't have a technical background, so he needed some help with the integration, and I've explained the basics to him 1/2
the past days I tried to chase the leak, installed proper telemetry + logs and scanned the codebase for reasons .. I couldn't find any yesterday I upgraded Vemetric to the latest Bun Version and voilà: the leak is gone :) 1/2
the last two weeks I took a step back and made a pause, even from shipping my products it showed me one thing: I have a memory leak in Vemetric's Backend 😂 (before, I did continuous deployments almost every day, resetting the RAM and silently hiding it^^)
