derek guy@dieworkwear.bsky.social · 3h agoPeople tell me they like suits but don't have occasions to wear one. You can wear a suit to court, funerals, and religious services. Doesn't have to be your trial, friend's burial, or religion you believe in. Go to random trials, attend a stranger's burial, join multiple religions. Try it sometime.
I ditched Logitech mice ages ago but I'm petty AF and would consider going back just to use OpenLogi out of spite.

I went to Catholic grade school in the '80s and no priest or nun was ever inappropriate with me or seemed to care that anyone played Dungeons & Dragons (all 2 or 3 of us at the time).

I always found it funny that the same generation crying about their kids going no contact is the same generation who gave us, "F them kids."

Spotted a dapper elder in a sport coat and shorts, rocking a look I don't believe I've seen since... I dunno, 1985? Even more interesting, it's not like he was wearing an 80s coat and 80s shorts. He looked like he could've bought them at Macy's a couple years ago.

Ada Palmer@adapalmer.bsky.social · 2d agoIn the Renaissance people theorized, since the Aeneid is great, if you wrote poems made only of words & phrases from the Aeneid rearranged they should be great too, since a great source regurgitated should yield greatness. They produced NOTHING we still read. Thinking about that a lot lately.
I think I've finally learned how to hold a grudge without needing to be angry, and NGL it's kind of liberating, really. 🤣
I have more than a couple "buy on sight" authors but the one I trust like this is M. Rickert. Full stop.
