Hello world — with little luck, I’m looking for a paper that summarises the history of study of climate change, particularly with respect to glaciers. I.e., what did researchers in the early 20th century think caused the kind of variability that led to terminus position changes? Suggestions?

Had a great time at this year’s TIPMIP meeting with @docaharper.bsky.social and so many others! We had a night at the Maryland Science Center and a keynote by Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse as well as many many productive science conversations 😊.

I'm attending the Tipping Points Model Intercomparison Project meeting. I'm excited to be a co-lead for the Biosphere domain, where we'll be using land surface and Earth system models to study tipping points, especially in tropical and boreal forests. Lots more to come!

Just spent the last two weeks crisscrossing the U.S. West with my TIPMIP colleague to talk climate and Earth system tipping points. We’ve learned so much about the state of tipping research in the U.S.! Looking forward to our next stops on the East coast before our TIPMIP General Assembly and AGU!
