Hey moots — I’m now on Letterboxd 😬 Looks like you can follow, comment and reply on the app — so if anyone has an account, let me know so I can follow you back. @letterboxd.social
Time to say happy new year and au revoir!! My New Year’s resolution is to get off social media — it’s been a fun year here, hopefully I posted a bunch of cool content, and maybe you discovered something new. I wish you all the best for 2026 to infinity and beyond! ✌️ 🕊️
It’s interesting that Black Sabbath’s “Symptom of the Universe” & Celtic Frost’s “Dethroned Emperor” are from the same era, in that they came out within 10 yrs of one another. [We tend to draw a line in the sand today between 70s proto vs 80s trad — but musically, this was all on the same continuum]
the thing people forget about The Art of Air Guitar ™️ is that your picking hand must be as good as your shredding widdly hand — let me tell you, my downpicking chugga riff speed and sweeping arpeggio accuracy can carve mountains

It is not that one yearns for this era. It will never come back, of course. It is that one is thankful to have lived in this timeline. 80s thrash metal on the telly! 📺 #metalsky #sepultura
For saying, “it’s inexplicable how bad this film is” about the new Wolf Man movie. narrator: it was, in fact, shit.
What’s the funniest reason someone got mad at you on Bluesky this year?
Retirement Goals: [no not become an architect, just learn how to write like one — my fave handwriting style] 📝
Glenn Danzig’s letter to Cliff Burton for permission to cover “Green Hell” I’m no handwriting expert but it is cool when people write their g’s and a’s in a typewriter font 🤗
I stand by this — Nothing to do with who QT is as a person, but it’s weird that people still accuse him of ripping off 70s B-movies like it’s some revelation. That cat was outta the bag in ‘92 when Reservoir Dogs came out — by people who’d seen The Killing, City on Fire & The Taking of Pelham 123.
I’ve never understood why people are offended by Quentin Tarantino “borrowing” from cult cinema. If anything he’s giving those films a new lease of life. Bruce Lee in a yellow tracksuit is ICONIC and 90% of folks who watched Kill Bill never even made this connection. #Filmsky #BruceLee #GameOfDeath

The Tascam 4 track. Do you even know how many classic demos were recorded on this warbly, tape hiss little bitch 😭
Couldn’t agree more. With everything moving more digital, we tend to somehow forget that most iconic albums were done pure organically with great quality equipment. Nothing beats the pure crisp sound of a 60s/70s Marshall IMO.
Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka. Perhaps one of the finest castings in film history. #filmsky #cinema #technicolor
Nightmare Logic is a good example of modern-era vintage production • Arthur Rizk used an analog approach • inspired by RiB & ST’s Lights Camera • vintage gear at Echo Lab studios TX • snare based on Metal Church debut • real amps, Marshall tubes • 80s Boss pedals & Ibanez tube screamers #metalsky
This. Thrash — of all genres — should *never* sound perfectly precise, neat and computerized. Modern productions have stripped out all the organic, natural sounds of actual humans playing instruments. Make mistakes. Fret buzz. A bum note The spirit of Thrash is high tops, skateboards, beer & weed.
Its all over metal nowadays, not only in Thrash. Modern production has made everything sterile..
I believe the people who put together the timelines of Rhapsody bands/ members are the ones who have what it takes to find out who the zodiac killer is

It’s typical modern thrash overproduction. Everything’s lined up against a click track, so natural human tempo drifts are absent. To me - sounds like virtual amps were maybe used. Trademark lack of grit and power, getting overshadowed by the drums. Great songs. Production didn’t really fit Sodom.
Soundgarden. “Beyond the Wheel.” 1992. Paramount, Seattle Chris Cornell — • vocal range: 4 octaves • C#2/E2 — A5/E6 • Baritone • “mixed voice”: head & chest • Little to no falsetto I’ll let an actual singer explain *why* all of the above is awesome, I’m just spittin’ facts w/ receipts. #musicsky
I haven’t tweeted in over a year and I still get love over there 😭
