You can see just a glimpse of the red feathers around his neck that go down his back.

We see so many birds in our backyard this spring. In addition to sparrows, chickadees, blue jays and finches, we get a northern flicker now and then. He loves to peck at the vents on the roofs, which sounds like a machine gun inside!

Gryfalcons are the largest falcon in the world and come in four color morphs. Ours is a white morph seen from behind, with their head turned to our right. They are looking over their shoulder. Standing on the knobby remains of a still upright tree, branches coming off it are stumps. The background is a blurry green suggestion a forest.

Large white cockatoo found in wooded habitats in Australia, New Guinea, and some of the islands of Indonesia. It has a distinctive yellow crest. Our bird is sitting on a tree branch, seen from behind. The birds head is turned to the right so we see it in profile with the yellow crest partially extended.
