Our goal of the Toxic Twins Campaign: Fund the Fund is the amortization of GAF and TAMKO, two asphalt shingle manufacturing plants located in the West Dallas and Joppa neighborhoods. These facilities are identified as major polluters in communities experiencing significant environmental harm.

Some Dallas history: in 2011-2013, DAR helped write one of TX's strictest gas drilling ordinances that the City passed. Search "Dallas Gas Drilling" and you'll find numerous news articles about it! This protected homes, churches, and other community areas from being next to gas drilling.
