Today was such a… peaceful day, and I needed that. It’s been a hectic month, between family chaos, expensive house stuff breaking that needed to be replaced, and trying to balance my moms new meds, it’s nice to have a b-day thats just… calm It’s a real reminder to appreciate these moments in life
Update: beat Sonic 2, and I got all the chaos emeralds… on my first try each without having to retry any special stages! Man that felt so cool!

After another hectic year it would appear that my birthday has returned! It’s been a hectic year, but it’s nice to know that despite it all I’m still me! It’s also nice that even at 36 life hasn’t yet been able to break me, which is helped by all the people in my life who help keep it fun!

You know… I’m happy to see Sonic being seen in a positive light again, even if the games are still in a weird place. Between the movies, the comics, all the tie ins, crossovers, etcetera we’re getting more Sonic than ever. But a part of me kinda feels like it’s a little… forced?

Huzzah! For once one of my Amazon preorders actually arrived on time! I’m pretty excited to start this game… in between my returning obsession with ff14 (I’m so close to the end of ARR post game…)
Me: “well now that MH Wilds is coming to switch 2 I should keep an eye out on what monsters get added to the game in the expansion, I hope it’s something cool!” Capcom reveals Teostra and looks at us, waiting for praise: “Oh… Teostra. I kinda hate that, and how this thing keeps coming back…”

Traded in a bunch of ps4 and 2 ps5 games that I now own on switch 2 and picked up 2 pretty cool games! Star Wars Outlaws, a game I heard great things about, aaaaaand… Doki Doki Literature Club Plus, a game that I LOVED watching @projared.bsky.social play, and finnsly found a physical copy!
The DND set up “adventures” continue. One friend saw his sheet this morning and was like “cool, I’ll double check later but that works!” The other friend sent me and edited sheet where he shifted almost every skill point to only the skills he wanted, and was like “this is fine right?!” Um… no.
Ah the true DnD experience… Im like “hey you guys wanna play dnd, just a 1 off?” Friends “Oh we were thinking that as well!” We even get a time figured out, and they text me back and forth as I’m multitasking “Alright here are some character options, let me know what you think!” No more texts

The trajectory of Insomniac is curious because I feel like their Marvel games have been on a steady decline since the first one. The story in Spider-Man 2 was largely complete ass and now Wolverine is apparently not very good either. Would love to know what factors caused this behind the scenes.
It’s nice to see that people are “generally” excited for the Ocarina of time remake, preferences aside, which is normal! …it is a little obnoxious, and very now a days to see so many videos/posts being shoved at me acting like this is the greatest insult known to man… mostly good discussions though

Man… the ocarina of time remake really does seem to be everything I hoped it would be! It feels like they remembered “wait, why change everything dramatically if fans already love the og game? Let’s just polish it, bring the gameplay up to snuff, and organically add to the world!” I’m so happy!

Aside from decaling… it’s finished! Divine Invoker Percival! My fingers are sore from all the part clipping and such… but just look at how awesome it looks, especially with all its weapons! Overall an amazing kit I got from USA Gundam!
Today I’m going to beat the main story of FF14 a realm reborn for the 2nd ish time! I would have finished last night but uh… I was on my switch 2 using the duty finder before bed, went “cool I have 5 ish min to watch a video before the quest should pop up—“ and then I woke up the next day. Whoops!

I had the realization that we’ll probably see the first Zelda movie trailer at the direct won’t we? Or at least the teaser for a Zelda movie direct!
This… is the reason I laugh when some people talk about how “gaming is going to move to streaming” and I’m like “you do remember the reason that idea has failed over and over already is that running and having streaming/cloud severs is extraordinarily expensive, especially if you don’t set limits”

I decided to “watch” the state of play via blue sky updates and… I feel like I missed nothing, besides a ff7 3 release date. Once again, at least for me, Sony has shown they have zero interest in making any of the games that made me love PS back in the day, and that’s saddening.
Saw coyote vs acme, and what a weird movie… in the best way! It was funny, brilliantly animated, and a ton of fun to watch, AND… you don’t need to be a looney tunes fan to enjoy it, though it will make you go “ooooh, I know that thing” if you are a fan! Screw you WB for trying to kill this movie!

It’s finally here! I waited quite a while for it to actually arrive, but it was worth it! Plus I went with the Rika color Full color, a game mode designed to go through the whole anime, and its USB C! Sadly I can’t enjoy it atm as I’m happily going to see Wily Vs Acme in a little bit, but soon!
Ended up giving Eldin Ring a bit longer of a shot after a little break, AND I put it on offline mode! Overall I can appreciate more of what people like about THIS souls game, but it didn’t change my mind on “hard for the sake of hard” games, but I’m glad I gave it a shot, but I’m good for now

Saw this and looked up the article to make sure it was real, and I’m just… wtf Sony?! Not only does their attitude piss me off, but even trying to argue— “well if we sell one person a digital game how could we possibly sell to own another person the same digital game?” It’s BS and they know it!

Amazon delayed 2 of my preorders… again, one the day of by a week, the other 2 days before by half a week. I called to complain and was essentially told “oh no that’s terrible… I promise it won’t happen again!” Tell them this is an ongoing issue “… we pinky promise?” What am I even paying for?!

Project update… I now have a covered and mostly framed homemade billiards table! The pockets are cut out and attached, basic walls to keep the balls in, and having tested it a little, the balls glide along no problem! It’s super uneven and needed to be leveled but it’s close! (Needs wall bumpers)
Took some time after testing and tinkering with that Tv and a few min of FF1 to finally get around to stickering and paint decaling my Aile Strike! Overall it looks great, but the real Star is this epic base it came with! Also I had to go with the “This is Kira Yamato… Launching!” Pose!
Found a older (but very AV cable friendly) flat-ish screen tv on the side of the road and took it home. Cleaned it and made sure the buttons all work and decided “I’ll use my NES to test it!” Plug in white AV in back of NES, spend like 10 min unable to figure out why the av cable wasn’t working.
