Update: I've finished an antique silver Tryzub pendant (request from Sue). I've ordered a super powerful vacuum pump from eBay and I've now got some silver solder paste that contains silver, you just put it on and melt it to join silver.

I've been sent some little silver spoons from @kezza.bsky.social I'm going to have a go at turning these into rings. What is your ring size? I want to join the ends before I do any shaping. The first one is yours, and can be used as an example to sell the others. 🫶

I managed to cast 11 silver pieces at the weekend. It doesn't look like much but this should raise +$1200 USD. The slow cool didn't stop the surface coating of phosphates developing but boiling the pieces in lemon juice makes it easy to scrub off. I seem to only have one issue now, there are 1/2

What are your thoughts on this fellas? It's an idea for a fundraising piece for @juliasubbotina.bsky.social Should I make it more simple? The beauty of the florks is in their simplicity. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I have a new toy! 🥳 It has taken me a while to get time to build it up. It's a laser engraver/cutter and I picked it up from a Scope charity shop for £70. Win, win!

Here is the full donation from @tootswoot.bsky.social The bracelet in the top left is going to be exchanged for its value in silver. The other items are worth less second hand than they would be if I melted them down. I will probably try and sell the charms and buy some silver with the money. ❤️

Tonight we light candles in our windows to remember the Holodomor victims. One of our volunteers had her grandfather starved to death in a Soviet prison for picking a pocketful of grain from the earth after harvest. The trench candle symbolises remembrance and dedication to fight for justice.

I have some solid silver Tryzubs ready but the braided cord to hang them from still hasn't arrived. I ordered it Tuesday and paid extra for next day delivery. 🫤 One of these has been reserved and is going to be turned into a badge/broach. I've ordered the pins and clips for that, still waiting.

This is my 1st post here. I make metal objects, jewellery and keyrings in exchange for donations to Ukrainian fundraisers. (I donate my time and effort). I sand cast, lost wax cast, sculpt and finish by hand. I have a dedicated fundraising store and have been posting on X for a while. 💙💛

Good news fellas. The last one of my (solid silver) fundraising seals for Coast of Life has been paid for with another direct donation to @coastoflife.bsky.social That's roughly $500 USD raised in total. This last donation was from JellyLegs Elle on X.

I will have 3 or hopefully 4 solid silver Tryzub pendants to list for donations very shortly. Which do you prefer the finish on out of these below? The antique silver look or the polished shiny jewellery look?
