I didn't think we needed more Toy Story movies, and now I'm convinced we don't need any more, but the writing in this was immaculate, probably my favorite going back at least as far as film 2 (twenty-six years ago) and possibly even 1. The moments of emotion feel well-earned and never syrupy. (100%)

I liked the new Star Wars movie, "The Mandalorian and Grogu," quite a lot. I never watched the show but never felt lost. The story was a bit thin, but 'unsophisticated' can still be fun, and even the "hey remember this from the movies" bits remained subtle and never insulted my intelligence. [90%]
Between "Super Mario Galaxy" and now "Mortal Kombat II," 2026 is turning into the year of video-game movie sequels I thought were leagues better than their predecessors.
The Resident Evil movie's trailer looks like it was made by someone who's taking the source material seriously. Very excited
Pokémon Pokopia's ending is one of the most heartwarming things I've ever seen. The art style also made me want a game in the vein of Paper Mario.
I cannot shake the feeling that after years of quality controversies, Pokémon Pokopia might have quietly saved the goodwill of the franchise. Here's to hoping Winds and Waves learns good lessons and carries that forward.
@skyloftsword.bsky.social I unlocked what I think is supposed to be Celadon. This game just keeps taking my breath away with every new discovery. I haven't felt that way to this extent about any game, even the best ones, in years.
Readily one of the strongest improvements of a sequel, and one of the best implementations of 4DX motion simulation, that I've seen in years, "Super Mario Galaxy" is an energetic mix of rambunctious, sometimes intense action and surprisingly heartfelt if random character/family dynamics. [95%]
