Really? $1.6K JUST for a follow-up appointment with the pulmonologist? I mean, at least it's not $25K... again, but trying not to die in America is just absurdly expensive.

hospital called me to be like, "can you come in right now to see if you qualify for medicaid?" no, too sick "okay, well, you're being uncooperative so we're going to close your account to see if you quality for financial assistance." Okay, fuck you too, UVA.

"Hey, how you feeling? You doing alright?" *detailed response of the health challenges he's dealing with* *no response* This keeps happening, and it's bumming me out. Don't ask how I'm doing if you don't really wanna know, and then ignore me. I'm sick as fuck, and this makes me feel worse. =/

Okay, so these Ricola cough drops taste so good I have a hard time not eating them like candy. Which isn't a bad thing, because it helps my throat, but still.

I found my CT scans online via the hospital's website, and I can't stop looking at the nightmare pictures that are my lungs. I'd post them here, but I can't seem to spoiler images and I don't wanna give anyone the heebie jeebies.

I want to give a special shoutout to @felisrandomis.bsky.social. She's been taking care of me, helping me with everything while I'm sick. She's cancelled art streams (where she makes her money) and sacrificed a lot to drive me to the hospitals, and has never left my side. Ohana. You are family.

The greatest thing I've learned in life is to let things go. No matter the regrets, the "I wish I hads," and the painful memories of the past, I can not change what has been, only what will be. To dwell on the past is to let grief consume you. All you can do is be the version you moving forward.

Pulmonologist: This is what a CT scan of healthy lungs are supposed to look like. *picture of normal lungs* Me: Uh huh. Pulmonologist: And this is what your lungs look like. *screenshot of the Reaper invasion from Mass Effect 3*

Appointment didn't go as planned. Same answer as before. What you have is too serious for us to treat right away. I'm gonna have to be put under anesthesia for a full biopsy. This shit is far more serious than I had hoped. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

went to go put on some clean clothes, and i've been winded for like 10 minutes over a simple task. i feel like my lungs have the air capacity of one of those screaming chickens
