Posting this for no reason other than I really like this pic. I ran across it on the Internet a few weeks ago, can’t look at it without smiling. It just makes me feel good. I read that it was taken in the 1950s, the little girl is the daughter of the photographer.

A little girl with her kitten on her shoulder, sharing the same happy smile.

Three shows that I liked that were ruined by the last episode: Blake's 7, Angel, Lost You follow the characters & stories for years and then… ugh. And Battlestar Galactica gets a special mention. Yeah, issues with the last ep, but more when earlier on to have fav characters turn out to be Cylons.

Third on the list of my three favorite #books not written by me: To Kill a Mockingbird, published in 1960. It's been a few years since I #read it, but it has stayed with me always. The book had more time to explore the Atticus Finch character than did the movie, but the film is also brilliant.

Setting aside my own books, of all the books I've read over the years, Dune has always been my favorite. The worlds, the cultures, the amazing characters; amazing universe. I first read the book in 1970; this is a pic of that paperback cover. I never should have loaned it out... never got it back.
