It concerns me that teachers would use A I for reports, with the potential of including data on students. And that's with me not enjoying report writing, but I would hate as a parent to feel my child's teacher cared so little. #TeacherTapp

Physics teacher in Scotland, fan of maps, crochet, language, anything else that catches my interest. Poing, ooh shiny! IOP Stirling Physics Teacher's meeting chair. #ChatPhysics #SciTeachUK #EduSky #UkEd
Fantastic day spent at the IOP Stirling Physics Teachers meeting. My last as chair, and as always great to chat to other physics teachers. I have so many ideas to take back into the classroom, showing the importance of subject-specific CPD. #iteachphysics @iopscotland.bsky.social #chatphysics
Sentences I say as a science teacher: To our technician 'Did the model have a stomach when you gave him to me? #Edusky #Iteachscience #Science
Repainted our rainbow fence, and got the cars and caravan washed. Great to have a sunny weekend!
So true, and I love the Learning Scientists website mentioned in the post for illustrating more high utility strategies. Study skills are a focus for me for the coming year. How to help students monitor their strategies and evaluate the effectiveness.
“Many educators assume that at some point, students have been taught how to study effectively,” writes #ScienceTeacher Alison Stone. But her 20 years of experience teaching high schoolers has taught her that “this is typically not the case.” 🧵 1/9 #EduSky #HighSchoolTeacher
Hey folks, I took some time completely away from edu-social media but ready to jump back in. Any suggestions for what I've missed in the past while? Who's still around? @chatphysics.bsky.social #chatphysics #edusky #pedagoo

Hey @teachertapp.bsky.social I want to answer this question but I'm an awkward non-England-based tapper. What year equates to S4/National 5? Or would you prefer us to put can't answer?
Shall we try this place where the sky is blue, rather than the place where they killed the little blue bird?

Lovely bright moments last week. - two of my online AH Physics meeting at Glasgow Uni while there to carry out project work. - Diet Coke and chocolate from my secret buddy at school - little ducks are appearing in our classrooms and they make me smile.🥰 #Iteachphysics #Pedagoofriday #Edusky
Why are any news outlets mentioning the paracetamol story except with the headline 'bam who knows less about science than your cat announces another baseless assertion'.
Interested in the answers here. Having done 'digital learning' for several years in several situations, including online Advanced Higher, I always want these to be true...yet to see the evidence #Teachertapp #Edusky
Hey my #Iteachphysics colleagues. I've got a friend whose child is sitting GCSE Physics this year and wants textbook recommendations to help with studying at home. As I teach scottish courses I'm not up to date with what the best ones down south are. Any suggestions? #Edusky
Realities of teaching at the school your kids attend part 27. Me: I'm sure there's some phrases I use a lot in the classroom. My dear sweet son: 'Folks'. You say, 'all right folks' a lot. People asked me if you called us folks at home too. Me: thanks #EduSky
My summer in books. Some better than others, and maybe a few more 'we've fecked the world' than is strictly healthy. But some great ones too. I had never read Slaugterhouse five before, but it was a great read. And Adrian Tchaikovsky never disappoints. Service Model was amusing. #BookSky
On holiday, time to relax and listen to the bells from the abbey.

Intrigued by the phrasing 'end of year' reports. Is this when these go out for some year groups? I have ones to complete at various times of the year depending on year group (one per year) giving guidance on mocks or options. Always intrigued by other systems. #EduSky @teachertapp.bsky.social
Whoop whoop Scottish teachers! We've made it to the end of term! And what a year it's been. Today was brought to you by my Higher class playing with Hot Wheels. They even came back after the interval till they got the car from the cupboard all the way into the sink across the room. #PedagooFriday
Today we're going to party like it's 2017. S3s enjoyed finding the speed of a point on the edge. Advanced Highers could explore angular velocities. Perfect for close to the end of term. Just one more week to go! #PedagooFriday #ITeachPhysics #ChatPhysics #EduSky
Gads, I forgot how tiring it was on new timetable day. Introducing six new classes in a row, my throat is sore even with drinking water all day. Fun though, but now I'm having a nap. #EduSky #ScottishTeaching #ITeachPhysics
Fantastic day with fellow Physics teachers at the annual IOP Stirling meeting. Always great to get subject-specific CLPL. #Iteachphysics #Physics #Edusky

My Friday nights are different now, so rock and roll. Teen boy has brought 6 friends home with him and they've got Aldi pizzas to cook. Meanwhile husband and I will get ourselves a chippy and let them be loud in the kitchen.😂😂
Forgot how amazing season 5 of The Magnus Archives is. Doing a full re-listen before getting into season two of Protocol. Revolutions, the Gardener, Night Night. Terrifying. @rustyquill.com
Internal truancy is such a major issue. Pupils in school, but not in class. Becomes a vicious circle of kids missing content so when they do come in to a lesson, they struggle with the work and vote to leave again. Makes it difficult to build up a relationship too. #TeacherTapp
