The idea that a team like Liverpool is even partly owned by a figure like Bezos will be anathema to a lot of traditionalists. Hot on the heels of FIFA’s attempted sell off of the World Cup to similar characters, this further underlines who is increasingly calling the shots and where power is.

Something doesn’t add up here. Why are we only being told this now, when Infantino is clearly a busted flush? Why not earlier?
