ngl, as a working engineer who gets so much value from AI every day, I find that coming to Bluesky and reading all this anti-AI sentiment really bums me out. I’m turning out so much better tested, accessible, well reasoned code with the aid of AI than I was able to do before. It baffles me.

I’ve been going down an RSS rabbit hole. In an attempt to clarify my thoughts, today I built an RSS aggregation backend and now I sort of want to build the rest.

Looks like RSS as devolved from a fully open distributed system to being a low-level backbone for a few centralised services and proprietary clients.

17 years ago I took some screenshots of NewsHutch before it shut down. I’m not sure I ever really found a replacement RSS reader I gelled with. RSS fans, how do you read your feeds in 2025?
